WISDRUM PASSAGE:
The language of the Djembe drum has a way of penetrating the essence of one's authentic self. This sacred instrument awakens aspects of our latent attributes and gifts. Through the Wisdrum Workshop, the participants will learn traditional African rhythms, values and life principles.
Upon the completion of the workshop, the participants will be able to: 1) Play traditional African rhythms 2) Apply polyrhymic musical concepts to life activities 3) Demonstrate an awareness of African History and cultural norms 4) Demonstrate dexterity, ambidexterity and mental and physical endurance 5) Exhibit discipline and concentration 6) Channel blocked energy constructively 7) Perform traditional exercises to increase self-awareness and esteem 8) Develop an increased ability to express creatively
